Who the hell am I?
My name is Ray and I write about video games.
I wish that I could say I write about them better than anyone else, but I don’t consider myself a liar. I do really enjoy writing, however — be it about games or anything else. Over the last couple of years, I have been dedicating myself to becoming one of the best and most exciting voices in the video game world. I’m still nowhere near achieving that goal, but I plan on making it a reality. Suikoden II wasn’t built in a day, as they say.
You may be familiar with my name through my work at Entertainment Buddha. I got my start writing there. If my name still doesn’t ring a bell, that’s okay too.
Maybe you’ve seen some of my work in other places. I’ve been freelancing a bit lately, and have had work published on VICE Gaming, Playboy, and Zam.
The blog posts here are the stories that I am pursuing simply out of a desire to try something different. The games journalism world is a massive one and I have started this site in order to carve our my own corner.
I want to write bravely about the parts of video games that really interest me. I want to touch on the subjects that everyone else decides to ignore. I want to have fun doing it and I want those who take the time to read these posts to genuinely enjoy themselves.
As Cheap Trick once said, “I want you to want me.”
